NASA has officially announced that the Voyager 1 space probe has left the solar system and entered interstellar space.
NASA experts explained that these conclusions are based on the latest data transmitted by the probe.
Voyager 1 was launched in 1977 and became the first probe in human history to leave the solar system. NASA also launched Voyager 2 the same year, but it should be noted that it has not yet reached the borders of our solar system.
Voyager 1's distance from Earth is now estimated at about 18.4 billion kilometers.
Experts expect that the energy from radioisotope sources that support the functionality of the probe should be enough until 2025.
