America wants to mine minerals in space

Everyone knows that the natural resources of our planet will sooner or later end, while the population's needs for them only increase. That is why some scientists have been dealing with the problem of finding an alternative for years. For example, specialists from the United States decided to turn their attention to space.

Thus, the Geological Service of America estimates the Moon as one of the main sources of useful minerals in the Earth's orbit. In addition, research is underway to determine the location of minerals on the Red Planet. Experts are convinced that asteroids, which are usually feared due to the possibility of colliding with the Earth, can play an invaluable role for earthlings. On the surface of these cosmic bodies, huge reserves of fossils can be hidden. The Americans believe that the extraction of resources in space will improve the ecology on Earth and give our internal resources time to recover.

So far, the country does not have the financial ability to start implementing its plans and strategies in order to carry out mining operations on at least one asteroid. However, programs to assess the suitability of extraterrestrial bodies for resource extraction have already been developed. In the future, according to scientists, this will allow developing technologies in this direction and developing real models for the extraction and delivery of space fossils to Earth.
