A new Hubble Telescope mission has started. This time he will have to reveal the secrets of the evolution of the very first galaxies that exist in our Universe.
Initially, experts plan to study a massive star cluster, which is located at a distance of up to four billion light years from Earth. Nearby are mysterious galaxies from which scientists know very little.
According to the experts who will oversee this project, a key feature of the work is to determine the effect of a gravitational lens. It is thanks to this phenomenon that scientists will be able to study new corners of galaxies and gradually fill in the gaps in science.
Now experts are engaged in determining the volume of dark matter that is contained in galactic clusters. After that it will be possible to proceed to gravitational lensing. This mission will take about one hundred and sixty hours and the first conclusions based on the data obtained will soon appear.
