Representatives of Roskosmos have come forward with the assumption that astronauts from the United States could intentionally damage the spacecraft. Recall that not so long ago it became known that the Soyuz spacecraft, which docked to the ISS a few weeks ago, got into an emergency due to an exposed hole in the skin. This could threaten everyone on board with complete depressurization.
The incident took place at the end of August. Then the dispatchers discovered that the air pressure on the ship was gradually decreasing, later it turned out that the cause was a leak. In the capsule body there was a hole with a diameter of two millimeters. With the help of materials at hand, the capsule skin was restored. Note that the return flight to the Union is scheduled for December.
Initially, it was reported that the ship collided with a micrometeorite, which led to the appearance of the hole. However, upon detailed investigation, it appears that the damage was done with a drill from the inside of the object. The version regarding negligence in assembling the ship is currently the most unlikely.
Experts believe that by such actions, the Americans wanted to force the astronauts to return to Earth earlier, since one of their crew members fell ill. Representatives of Roskosmos say that in case of urgent medical need, the Americans will have to pay for a new ship.
