While conducting a detailed analysis of the archival data of the NASA probe called the Mars Global Surveyor, independent researchers came across something that seriously interested both ufologists and scientists. We are talking about an image of a certain object in the region of Mars known as Medusa Fossae.
The unmanned spacecraft Mars Global Surveyor reached the orbit of the Red Planet in 1997 and performed successful surface observation until 2006 when communication with the probe was suddenly interrupted. The image in question, which formed the basis for the video below, was taken in 2000. It clearly shows a bizarre shape about 190 meters in diameter.
Many ufologists, including the editor of the ufological publication Scott Waring, seriously started talking about the fact that this is nothing more than an alien spacecraft, which once made an emergency landing on the surface of the planet and so later remained abandoned.
However, the famous ufologist Nigel Watson did not support his colleagues: 'I believe that this is still a natural geological formation. However, it is alarming that this image has been removed from many official resources, as if they were trying to keep it secret. '
American astronomer Seth Shostak, head of the SETI Institute for the Search for Extraterrestrial Life, also spoke on this matter. In his opinion, the world is not yet ready to meet aliens, even if they suddenly decide to visit earthlings:
“In this situation, we will look like Neanderthals who have a plan in case the US Air Force arrives.”
