Residents of the US state of California witnessed the flight car – a fireball similar to a celestial body that fell on the eve of Russia, Nbc broadcasts on Saturday. A ball of fire in the evening sky was seen by residents of many cities on upstate, particularly in Newark, Walnut Creek, St. Helena, as well as in the state capital, the city of Sacramento. On the recording, an unidentified object glows in blue and flies right to the ground, it can be seen in a few seconds, and then he disappears.
Astronomer Gerald McKeegan suggested it burned out sporadic meteor (not associated with any meteor shower), and it is not connected with the asteroid DA14, which flew on Saturday night past the earth. McKeegan explained that every year on the earth falls order 15 thousand tons of “space fragments”, which in most cases burn out in the atmosphere, not reaching the ground.
