Director General of the European Space Agency Joanne-Dietrich Warner unveils his plans for future development outer space.
Holding a leadership position in the Agency for only a week, former chairman of the German space agency revealed his ambitious plans for the future.
The main highlight of his idea is the creation of a colony settlement on the moon – a permanently inhabited mission that will be able to provide not only a great opportunity for fundamental research, but also allow for development of technologies necessary for possible manned flights to Mars.
In order for the lunar settlement to fulfill its task, all countries need to participate in this project. Creation of robotic and stellar expeditions, auxiliary communication satellites – all this will be a common contribution to the development of new mysterious sections of space.
According to the head of ESA, space cooperation could become a great opportunity to strengthen ties between countries on The earth.
