The inhabitants of the northern latitudes of our planet will enjoy a pleasant surprise: almost on the day of the vernal equinox, and specifically on March 20, they will witness the first solar eclipse this year (peak it will be at 13 hours 18 minutes Moscow time).
Immediately upset that this year there are no more eclipses of the sun is foreseen. However, the expected (especially by amateur astronomers) March eclipse of the sun is not only remarkable fact singularity, it is unique for another reason. The fact is that in beauty can be observed in the dark sky Venus. This is a rather rare phenomenon, the next one will have to be expected already until 2033.
Scientists predict that the March eclipse of 2015 will be able observe many residents of Europe, Asia and even Greenland, but all more fortunate in this regard are those who live in Iceland and Murmansk region of Russia – for them the Moon will “try” to the maximum and hide our luminary by ninety percent.
For fans of solar eclipses: the following is expected in 2016, and specifically – March 9 (hurry to write down). True it will not be as effective as the present, that is, without Venus.
