American company The Gateway Foundation creates space hotel. Named after the German scientist Werner von Braun the facility will accommodate about 400 people.
In the future, the space station will be expanded, therefore the number of seats may increase to several thousand. For the first tourists living in the space department will be expensive, but as business and technology develops, prices should decline.
The developers intend to open an unusual hotel in 2025, with this number of seats will initially be limited. In a week The hotel can be visited by no more than 100 people. Externally the station will something like a comfortable cruise ship.
Representatives of the development campaign say not to expect see something unbelievable, as presented in the famous film “Space Odyssey 2001”. Their project is much prettier and safer. At the same time, the developers specify that the orbital hotel in for several years will only accept financially wealthy people. In the future, as it develops, places will be accessible to less affluent inhabitants of the Earth.
The space hotel will be assembled from separate modules, which will allow you to change its configuration and dimensions. The main “highlight” which the space hotel boasts – artificial gravity.
