This time space colonization planned European space agency that intends to populate the opposite side of the moon.
The question immediately arises: why exactly the opposite? A little chest just opens: it’s there, hidden from our eyes, is huge crater (two and a half thousand kilometers in diameter) – South Pole basin.
Five years ago, the LCROSS apparatus, studying the back of the moon, discovered in this ancient crater (formed approximately four billion years ago) frozen water – moon ice. Exactly this and causes the greatest interest in terms of colonization of our satellite. The second, no less important, factor that determined the interest of scientists namely to the basin of the South Pole, is its edge in the form of a mountain ridge, constantly lit by the sun.
First, the European Space Agency is thinking of sending to The moon of robots, so that they carefully examined the crater, then people will fly. The lunar base, according to scientists, will represent It’s something like what we now have in Antarctica.
