In addition to artificial intelligence, the experiment was attended by 163 people not related to astronomy.
All that was required from the participants in the experiment was carefully examine the submitted photographs and highlight objects, which in their opinion could be of artificial origin. Participants paid attention to a certain geometric shape analyzed structure. The fact is that people usually pay attention to objects that have the correct geometric shape and which could be created by man. Most often participants studies have drawn attention to structures having square or triangular shape. It is noteworthy that artificial intelligence is also I chose an object that I defined as artificial. Besides of this AI highlighted a circle inscribed in a square, as well as inscribed square to triangle.

Later, scientists analyzed the results of the experiment and found that the AI highlighted an object that people also pointed to, that is, he did not find other patterns in the pictures of Ceres. Given this, scientists decided that AI is not yet ready to participate in search for extraterrestrial life forms.
However, some researchers believe that the buildings, created by extraterrestrial intelligence need not have the right geometric shapes. AI highlighted the same objects as humans only because it was created by man himself, and therefore analyzed mainly through the prism of human perception.
As for the discovered mysterious object, the experimenters did not consider it artificial, and most likely it is the result of the play of light and shadow. However, scientists admit that this the object can be truly man-made, and this theory need to check.
