Igor Ashurbeyli, who is the head of the UNESCO International Commission in space, last year introduced to the world community amazing space state project that will get name Asgardia (in honor of the heavenly city of Asgard from Norse mythology).
According to the idea of the Russian doctor of technical sciences and of a businessman, an unmanned spacecraft will be launched into Earth orbit station, which will subsequently be converted into a colossal residential complex. It is noteworthy that the first step towards implementation this futuristic project will be undertaken this year. Domestic experts plan to launch into low Earth orbit satellite, whose main task will be tracking space garbage located in the gravitational field of our planet, and preventing these debris from entering other orbital objects.
