Astronomers have discovered a planet that they say is similar to Earth like no other known to science.
The planet, called “Kepler-186f”, is located in called the “habitable zone” – at such a distance from the star, where there are favorable conditions for the emergence of life.
It’s not too cold and not too hot, and scientists believe that there can be liquid water on the surface of the planet – this is a key condition for the development of living organisms. The star around which the planet revolves is at a distance about 500 light-years from Earth.
