American scientists have discovered at the poles of our planet funnel-shaped drains of charged particles (cusps). Scientists have discovered strange anomalies in these areas, the nature of which is yet to be explained cannot, including communication failures and an increase in atmospheric density. This was reported by the information publication Science Alert.

NASA is now preparing to send three to the North Pole research missions. The first mission of the Cusp Region Experiment-2 will investigate the atmospheric anomaly that is at a height 322 kilometers, where air density is above average. If these differences were closer to the surface of our planet, then there would have been powerful hurricanes. Discovered area carries threat only to orbiting satellites and spaceships, as well as negatively affects the operation of communications.

A second mission called Cusp Irregularities-5 is organized to study turbulence, and to find out how radiation of electric waves occurs, disrupting the operation of funds communication. Unfortunately, the first results of this mission have already shown that it will fail.

As for the third CHI mission, it is organized with the aim of measurement of gas and plasma flows in the cusp. Researchers will try to study in this area the behavior of the magnetic field, so that in the future avoid breaking comic devices.
