University of Birmingham student, British Maggie Lew, going to give birth to a baby on Mars as part of the Mars One program, which aims to populate the desert Red people the planet.
Now Maggie is 24 years old, she is a future astrophysicist, voluntarily agreed to participate in an unusual project, and after 9 years, in her 33 years, about to fly to Mars and give birth to alien planet firstborn.
Still a student, and in the future, perhaps the Martian’s mother, Lew explains his choice by the fact that for the colonization of Mars it is necessary the offspring that she, a healthy woman, ready for all the difficulties of life on an uninhabited planet, will be able to give. And although the birth with low gravity not yet studied by science, young astrophysicist I’m sure that everything will go well, but that her child will grow not on planet Earth, it doesn’t scare her at all. She thinks that living conditions created on Mars for colonization will not be much differ from earthly ones, which means that parenting will remain so same as it is on our green planet.
More than 200,000 people were willing to participate in the settlement of Mars a man from around the globe. But only 600 of them passed the tests, and the 40 names of the colonists who will fly to Mars will be final announced this month, after which volunteers will be trained for the hardest period in their lives.
It is assumed that flights to Mars will be carried out with every two years. Newfound astronauts must send in groups of four. The colonists will have to grow vegetables on the planet yourself, equip and to improve their homes, repair equipment, develop oxygen and much more to do.
