By coincidence In October of this year, the 48-year-old scientist died, which caused a real shock to relatives and friends.
Kjell said that along with the other six ISS astronauts on for some time he worked closely with Victor. Lindgren himself underwent personal training before flying into space at Hurst’s leadership.
In memory of the deceased scientist, colleague and just a good person astronaut for the first time in human history sang a hymn in space “Great grace” in the bagpipe.
It is worth noting that the instrument that Lindgren played was made by order of specialists from McCallum Bagpipes. A company representative said that back in 2013, an astronaut asked them whether it would be possible to make such an instrument that will play in outer space.
Kjell initially did not even imagine that his dream could become a reality, because no one had ever done anything like this before did.
