Hubble telescope captures blue spray in irregular galaxy IC 559

A photo from open sources

Far beyond the stars that make up the constellation Leo, the wrong galaxy IC 559 is located. IC 559 is not an example of an ordinary galaxy. Irregular and similar to the bright blue spray of stars it represents amazing galactic anomaly. Perhaps she looks like a scattered cloud but actually filled with gas and the dust that gives rise to new stars. Galaxy IC 559 discovered in 1893, differs from other galaxies in the absence of a symmetrical spiral view and regular shape. It belongs to the class of galaxies. Sm – irregular galaxies with some evidence of availability spiral structure. Photos from open sources Wrong galaxies, not fit into the Hubble sequence, make up, approximately a quarter of all known galaxies. Most unique galaxies were not always like that – IC 559 could once be an ordinary spiral galaxy later deformed and swirling gravity of a nearby space companion. Image taken with a wide-angle camera 3 telescope Hubble in a wide wavelength range that covers ultraviolet, optical and infrared spectral ranges.
