A new virus called SARS-CoV-2 is thereby coronavirus that caused a recent outbreak of a dangerous disease called COVID-19. According to an article published on livescience.com, space souvenirs that future colonists of the Red Planet will send to Earth, may constitute a danger to fragile biosphere of the earth. And the reason that the “Martian parcels ”can be deadly, directly related to spreading virus on the planet.
Are there any viruses on Mars?
As you know, the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which marked the beginning of 2020 of the year, is a mutation of a common flu virus or acute respiratory infections. Once in new conditions, viruses usually try adapt to their environment, thereby strengthening and becoming more resistant to the use of antiviral agents. IN case with SARS-CoV-2, the bat’s organism became such an “amplifier”, while on Mars or the Moon microorganisms can get new properties due to unusual climatic conditions, characteristics of the local atmosphere or its pressure.
When in 1973, Carl Sagan published the book “Space communication. Extraterrestrial perspective, “he offered his vision to Martian pathogens. So, according to an authoritative scientist, on Mars there may also be bacteria of their own potential threat to humans. Being accidentally carried over to terrestrial environment, such microorganisms can provoke a real biological warfare, since terrestrial organisms did not have no defense against martian pathogens for 4.5 billion years. Although the likelihood of such an outcome of events may to be very small, the danger of once becoming infected with the “Martian coronavirus ”in humanity still exists.
Can I get the Martian virus?

However, even in this case, we cannot be completely confident in own security. So if Martian pathogens are similar to the coronavirus already mentioned above, prolonged incubation a period of gradual infection can adversely affect to spread the virus around the planet.
Similarly, terrestrial organisms can affect Martian life, if any, of course, is there. Besides genocide of local living organisms, terrestrial pathogens may provoke climate change on the Red Planet. So even the slightest awkward environmental impact of Mars can lead to extremely unpredictable consequences: astronaut, by negligence leaving only a few bacteria from his a spacesuit on the surface of the fourth planet from the Sun, risks becoming the culprit of a true Martian apocalypse capable of destroy the local ecosystem.
