A small meteorite allegedly fell in the east India right to the rice field.
According to preliminary estimates, the weight of this stone is about 14 kg, and the size of a soccer ball. According to CNN, the object left on the field a characteristic imprint on the rice field near the village Mahadeva in Bihar.
Now the stone was delivered to the Museum in the same state, but after it will be sent to Sri Krishna Science Center in order to understand whether it is a meteorite or something else. It’s possible how experts believe that the object under investigation may simply be ancient stone. One has only to figure out where and how this stone fell into a rice field.
According to the observations of scientists, over 90 daily falls on our planet tons of meteorites and dust, but large objects are the surface of the Earth reach much less frequently.
According to NASA statistics, about once a year an asteroid the size of a large passenger car enters the Earth’s atmosphere and does not burn reaching its surface.
