Specialists of Chelyabinsk State University did the assumption that inside the meteorite “Chelyabinsk” is very a rare type of diamond. This crystal was discovered with more thorough exploration of the cosmic body.
Dean of the Faculty of Physics S. Taskaev who studied the meteorite said that searched in a meteorite for natural supermagnet (tetratenite), and stumbled on a very rare carbon crystal.
Currently, the substance is aimed at a more detailed analysis, which will last about a month.
Recall, this meteorite got its name in connection with the fall and powerful explosion of February 15 over Chelyabinsk. The Shard meteorite fell in the lake Chebarkul. This shard was raised from the bottom lake in October 2013 and transferred to the local history a museum.
