Scientists of the Laboratory of X-ray Astronomy of the Sun, Lebedev Physical Institute observe “gaps” in the graphs of the activity of the Sun. To this phenomenon experts gave an explanation.

The so-called “anti-flash” that scientists observe do not have connection with solar activity, just research apparatuses in the moment of observation are in the shadow of the earth, and the signal from the sun getting weaker.

According to the researchers, this phenomenon occurs twice in the year when the Earth is close to the points of spring and autumn equinox. Basically, these “eclipses” make themselves felt for 45 days to the equinox, and then observed up to one and a half months.

As scientists note, on September 23 the so-called “anti-flash” become most visible and in the coming weeks the intensity will begin to decline until it completely disappears.

Previously, scientists reported that our star was hibernating – for last summer there was not a single powerful outbreak that talks about passing the minimum of eleven solar cycle.
