The authors of the documentary project basically respond to this question: if there is life on Mars, then the planet itself becomes very an interesting object for its colonization, that is, between the USA and others the leading countries of the world have almost begun a new space race. Mars today is almost a forbidden zone, and a ban on it study is being established so far by the USA.
