Project “Message to Benna” implemented in conjunction with the Planetary Society (Planetary Society), a reputable non-governmental organization that promotes space research. All comers will be able to enter until September 30 in a special form on the company’s website your names.

Then the list of names recorded on the microchip will travel to the asteroid, and in 2023 will return to Earth in a descent capsule together with samples of an asteroid substance. Those who send their name in the “journey”, will be able to download and print a special certificate certifying their participation in the Osiris mission.

American “asteroid project” OSIRIS-REx (Origins-Spectral Interpretation-Resource Identification-Security-Regolith Explorer) for the United States will be the first asteroid exploration program using automatic probe. Osiris will be launched in 2016 and will approach the asteroid Bennu (1999 RQ36) in 2020.

The probe will map its surface for six months, after which scientists will be able to choose the place from which the sample will be taken substances weighing about 60 grams. Then it will be placed in a capsule, which is expected to land at a Utah training ground in 2023 year.

After that, the apparatus, created on the basis of the Martian probe MRO, may be able to perform other tasks.
