On Mars, geologists have discovered traces of life

Scientists have identified geological structures on the surface of Mars, which may have been created by a microbial life of about 3.7 billion years ago.

Lately, a lot of information has been received about strange objects, visible in photographs of the surface of the Red Planet, which, may have been created by an unearthly life. However, only very recently Nora Noffk, a geologist at Old Dominion University of Virginia, provided some intriguing evidence that life on Mars still once existed.

Nora’s research was mainly focused on NASA’s Curiosity Rover photos captured naked bottom of Martian lake of Gillespie. It turned out that sedimentary rocks of the structure of this lake correspond to similar the structures of our planet that were created by microbial forms of life.

Since Noffk has carefully studied over the past 20 years relief of our planet, the results of its study of the relevant Martian structures are very compelling. And since the approximate age of Lake Gillespie is about 3.7 billion years, it turns out that the Martian “fossils” were formed a long time ago.

The geologist shared her hypothesis with the public. TO Unfortunately, she said, there is little evidence to support the existence of life on Mars, although, in her opinion, these enough evidence. At the moment, you can point to convincing similarity between terrestrial and Martian geological formations, and to test the hypothesis of their biological new research needs to be done.
