The leadership of the domestic state space corporation Roskosmos is currently creating its own a television channel that will broadcast to all residents of our immense homeland – from Crimea to the Far East. Leading will tell Russians about discoveries, innovations and numerous achievements of our space industry.
When asked why this is needed, representatives of Roskosmos answer, that they have enough prerequisites to create a TV channel, entirely dedicated to space exploration by Russia. Now corporation shows its unique documentaries and programs on the federal channel “Russia-24”, as well as on its own channel well-known video hosting “YouTube”, but this is not enough. Space Corporation materials are incredibly in demand among viewers, including foreign ones, and Roskosmos employees believe that it is time for them to reach a new level of broadcasting.
Not everyone knows that the Russian film production department company for more than ten years. It was founded in 2005, and since many films and programs about past and present were shot merits of the domestic space industry. Viewers are available news of planetology, rocket science, astronomy, cosmology and much more. Almost all programs are educational character and are considered particularly beneficial to school students and institutes.
In “Roskosmos” do not hide that they want to compete American space agency, which got its own TV channel back in the eighties of the last century. Popular NASA service called “NASA TV” combines four cable channels, where news is continuously broadcast, documentaries and programs dedicated to US achievements in areas of extraterrestrial exploration.
Representatives of the Russian space corporation so far prefer not to specify when the tv channel will be launched, what the estimated cost of this project, whether the channel will be paid and what will become of broadcasting programs and films of Roscosmos for the World the web.
