Similar Russian complexes are already in South Africa and Brazil, thanks to which Russia is quite successfully searching and detection of various space objects at an altitude of up to 50 thousand kilometers.

Such stations allow first of all to avoid dangerous the approach of space satellites to the debris in the orbit of the Earth getting bigger and bigger. In case of breakage or destruction one or another device, a similar complex accompanies them during entry into the atmosphere and, if possible, sends to the safest sections of the ocean.

However, Russia needed to install additional, more modern optoelectronic stations space debris detection, one of which could located in New Zealand, covering the territory of the Pacific Ocean. However, negotiations with the leadership of New Zealand have not yet been conducted. on this occasion, such an opportunity is only being considered.

It is possible that the same station will be located in Mexico. FROM this country is already negotiating on this issue, in the current Mexican expected yes government.
