Astronomers of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory discovered 400-meter asteroid that could collide with 2032 Earth, says the materials of the Center for Minor Planets and the asteroid NASA units. 2013 Minor Planet TV135, was discovered in pictures of the starry sky taken in Crimean Observatory October 12. Then the discovery was confirmed. Russian observatories “Ka-Dar” and MASTER (GAISH MSU) in Buryatia, as well as astronomers from Italy, Britain and Spain. Heavenly body, the size of which is about 410 meters, attributed to the class potentially dangerous asteroids (PHA), since the minimum the distance between its orbit and the Earth’s orbit is 0.012 astronomical units (1.7 million kilometers), and in the number of PHA include bodies in which this value is less than 0.05. Moreover, preliminary trajectory measurements showed that on August 26, 2032 years, this asteroid with a probability of 1 chance for 63 thousand may collide with the earth. This probability is high enough so that this an asteroid received class 1 on the Turin scale of danger of asteroids – the lowest rank, which means that there is practically no risk, however, it is nonzero. Now among the famous asteroids only one more – 2007 VK184 – has a rank of 1 on the Turin scale. The force of the explosion in the event of the fall of 2013 TV135 to Earth is estimated at 2.5 thousands of megatons of TNT.
