Today, everyone can make a fascinating a tour of the surface of the frozen North Pole of Mars, watching a new 3D animation created using European Space Agency (ESA). Video based on reliable data received from the ESA spacecraft, which was located on orbit the Red Planet for ten whole years. Ice cap Mars is very similar to the snow cover of the poles of our planet, however, unlike the earth, consisting of ice water, the composition of ice Mars mainly comes in carbon dioxide, which we know as “dry ice”. The red ice cap of the Red Planet has a diameter about 1000 kilometers, which is approximately equal to the width of the ice sheet Greenland in its widest place. Mars North Pole consists from many thin layers of ice mixed with dust. The video is very beautifully displayed Hasma Boreale Canyon. It is divided in half by a deep a furrow about 318 km long; others look no less spectacular, smaller deflections in the ice cover, arranged in the form of a spiral. Scientists suggest that these deflections were formed as a result of strong gusts of wind prevailing on this planet.
A special radar mounted on board the spacecraft, Mars Express, allowed to probe not only the surface of Mars, but also its bowels, which allowed us to make the video clip more accurate and clear.
