According to representatives of SpaceX, they carried out more than 700 tests of SuperDraco engines preparing for installation on a ship.
Crew Dragon will have eight of these engines installed which will reach speeds of 700 kilometers per hour. When the system will work, parachutes will ensure a safe landing together by astronauts.
The company’s specialists considered it necessary to carry out additional engine tests, since the explosion in April of this year at testing the engine showed its unavailability.
