NASA’s “Swift” satellite recorded on a nearby red dwarf the strongest, hottest and longest stellar flashes of all ever recorded.

Astrophysicists said that the power of these outbreaks in as much as 10 thousand times the power of the largest solar flare ever history, reaching temperatures of 360 million degrees by Fahrenheit. It is 12 times hotter than the core of the Sun.

“We used to think that the main episodes of burning on the red dwarfs last no more than a day, but Swift found at least at least seven powerful eruptions in about two weeks, “- says Stephen Drake in a written statement astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, state of maryland.
