Earlier we wrote how the Chinese lunokhod “Yutu-2” captured on the back of the moon is a mysterious substance. Experts from the Middle Kingdom so and not realizing that the rover had photographed them, they called it “gel-like.”

Experts believe that this substance is the most common dark glass, which could have been formed as a result of a strong blow about surface of the moon. The exact same substance was observed by astronauts. Apollo 17 during its lunar mission.
According to scientists, meteorites at high speed can wonderfully compress minerals, turning them into vitreous substance. This glass itself is capable of refracting light, which is why it was difficult to make out what was previously taken frame.
Attempts of the lunokhod “Yutu-2” will approach the mysterious object so and were unsuccessful. The substance remained at the bottom lunar crater. Now it remains only to wait until the two-week the night cycle ends, the research module wakes up and again will repeat his attempts to study this strange substance, and perhaps we learn more about him.
