The ISS astronauts will go out tomorrow space

Tomorrow the ISS astronauts will go into outer spacePhoto from open sources For tomorrow – the tenth of August, an exit in outer space astronauts of the ISS Mikhail Kornienko and Gennady Scavengers. They are currently carefully checking equipment for completing this assignment.

The astronauts will work in outer space for almost seven hours, with six in the evening Moscow time. During this time space the station will make almost a hundred turns around our planet.

As the ISS commander cosmonaut Gennady Padalka says, the way out will be carried out in Russian spacesuits “Orlan MK”, inside of which a pressure of 290 millimeters of mercury is created, supplied pure oxygen and the coolant temperature is ten degrees centigrade. Onboard the ISS are three such spacesuits, each one for each astronaut and one backup.

ISS flight engineer cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko laughs that year it’s hard to work at the station, it’s time to go for a walk to go, although they had been preparing for such a walk for three weeks, and indeed now everyone checks, as they say, to put the last – bold point.

On the “street” they have – minus one hundred and twenty degrees Celsius in the shade and, at the same time, plus one hundred and forty degrees in the sun. All work in outer space is painted by minute. According to the plan, the astronauts should complete the work in six and a half hours but they hope handle a little earlier. This is the laying of handrails for movement, cables, space station maintenance, antenna installation, removing the block of the experiment “Decor”, cleaning the windows and much more.

Working overboard, astronauts admit, is not easy, and how physically and psychologically, but there is no such astronaut, who would not dream of going out into outer space to see the Earth, and the whole universe, through the window of his spacesuit …

NASA posted on its official website that to watch the Russian astronauts who will leave tomorrow open space and perform various operations near the ISS, you can will be live on their channel. We remind you that on our site there is access to the ISS Webcam – see the sections at the top left.
