An astrophysicist from Russia carefully watched a space body in modern telescope. Therefore, he is sure that its size exceed the dimensions of a meteorite, already familiar to mankind. It goes about Apophis, the discovery of which also entailed a lot gossip.
The name of the new asteroid was given a straightforward – 2014 UR116. IN detecting his large share of labor belongs to the system telescope robots. It is thanks to this system with continuous monitoring in space managed to consider an asteroid whose diameter is a little over three hundred and seventy meters.
Speaking about the newly discovered meteorite, Lipunov noted that at this moment there is no reason to believe that he will collide with the Earth. Of interest is the very discovery of such an object. Especially since spotted his new master telescope, capable of detecting objects of similar diameter at a distance of a week of flight from our planet.
