UAE seriously want to become a space power. To this end, two years ago a space agency was created in this Arab country and even outlined plans for the exploration of Mars along with other leading states of the world. Alleged arab spacecraft will fly to the Red Planet in 2021.
True, for starters, the Emirates need to acquire their own spaceport. As its leadership, the UAE has chosen the Russian water space launch pad – Sea Launch. Russia and Emirates have already held a number of meetings on the issue of the sale of this facility, but recently the Arab leadership has somewhat chilled to this deal.
Analysts attribute this to a drop in oil prices, though here there may be any other reasons for which neither side so far does not inform the press.
