In the Khabarovsk Christ Nativity Cathedral, which celebrated Recently, its 115th anniversary, an amazing event has occurred. Copy icon Virgin “Inexhaustible Chalice”, which appeared in the Orthodox Christianity in 1878, mystically imprinted on glass of the icon case. Display on a glazed shelf of the image of Our Lady with as little Jesus, the clergy of the temple regard it as real miracle.
The incident became the object of universal attention completely by chance. In the cathedral, they wanted to clean the glass covering some icons. When the glass was removed from the “Inexhaustible Chalice,” on its inside the side turned out to be something like dust. Churchmen tried to erase this “dust”, but to no avail. When the clergy brought glass to the light, then stunned. The image was clearly visible on it. Virgin, resembling a negative image.

This icon has been in the Khabarovsk temple since 2004. She is an exact copy of the “Inexhaustible Chalice” from the Vysotsky Monastery in Serpukhov. Both the original and its copy are considered miraculous – they heal people from alcoholism and drug addiction. Every week before the image in the Nativity of Christ Cathedral prayers are performed. Here, for many years, helping the sick and their to families. In the foreseeable future, an Orthodox center will appear at the church rehabilitation of such unfortunates. Many believers believe that after a miracle happened with an icon, work in this direction will go faster.
Church miracle was not the only one
According to the rector of the cathedral, the miracle that happened is the blessing that priests and the ward are doing right thing. Priest Vladimir Belogubov also notes that an icon symbolizing the Inexhaustible Chalice of God’s mercy for man, helps not only those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol, but also people with any other bodily and mental ailments.
Churchmen plan to take glass with the image and make it separate object of worship, equipping with its own icon case. Already very soon the miraculous icon will be able to see everyone temple visitors.
It is worth recalling that in November last year in various Orthodox churches of the Khabarovsk Territory pacified immediately three icons: image of St. Innocent of Irkutsk, image of a saint the great martyr Panteleimon and the image of the Savior. On the icons under the glass, droplets themselves appeared aromatic oil miro. Priests recognized this as a miracle and recorded myrrh flow documented.
