Initially, the Dyson Sphere concept was proposed by over 50 years ago by physicist Freeman Dyson, who suggested that a sufficiently developed extraterrestrial race can build a huge a spherical shell around a distant star to live inside this spheres.
For a while, astronomers really considered such an idea. as an opportunity to find using infrared thermal imprint such a structure in the vastness of space, however after several years of empty searches the Dyson Sphere concept has been forgotten.
However, recently two physicists put forward the idea that the reason astronomers’ unsuccessful search for such “spheres” in the Universe lies in that they were looking for exactly huge structures, while there were it would be more reasonable to assume that if the aliens decided build a spherical shell, then it is likely much less than scientists thought.
Of course, to create a huge sphere encompassing, for example, the distance from the Earth to the Sun, it makes sense because a similar area can provide great opportunities. However it is large-scale construction is unlikely to succeed. Physicists argue that building a spherical shell is much easier around a small star, such as, for example, a white dwarf.
But in this case, if it were true that the alien race builds small spheres around small stars, then they could hardly to notice the scientists. Therefore, the very topic of the existence of spherical the shells are still under a big question … And in general, there is many inexplicable discoveries.
