Beatriz Villaroel working in Swedish Uppsala University, managed with a group of colleagues to notice the disappearance a large star for no logical reason.
Researcher suggests that this may be involved. representatives of a certain highly developed alien civilization with so advanced technologies that they can destroy during Universe whole stars.
Villaroel and her two assistants analyzed received in the course of numerous studies, information on three hundred thousand shone in the night sky. Scientists intended for the sake of curiosity check if at least one of them has gone out, although they did not expect for any results. To the surprise of the Swedes, one such star really found. She stopped shining completely unexpectedly although her age was relatively small to go out by yourself.
At first, experts thought it was a so-called artifact – cosmic interference that arose on their own and also spontaneously disappeared, without implying the existence of a real luminary. However, further tests showed that speech it is about a real star, and not about any false impulses. Scientists have long determined that extinct in the night sky the light is indeed a vanishing massive gas ball. Villaroel and her colleagues discarded hundreds of other anomalies found, finding only one that managed to pass all the checks.

The alien hypothesis is not so absurd
Beatriz notes that since childhood she has been interested in aliens, and she always wanted to find scientific evidence of their existence. The researcher is in no hurry to do any one hundred percent statements. According to the expert, extraterrestrial life forms really could blow a star – there is no evidence that it is impossible. However, there is no evidence that these are really “tricks” of the aliens, so for now the words experts are just a bold assumption.
Specialists put forward a more prosaic theory. Maybe speech it is about a quasar – an astronomical object, which is active core of the galaxy. Quasars are among the most visible objects in the universe, however they are capable of less than decade lose brightness so much that they almost cease to be noticeable even through powerful optical electronics.
Scientists plan to test their guesses with powerful telescopes of the planet. Beatriz Villaroel, by the way, continues hope her hypothesis about aliens turns out to be true.
