The idea of erecting the Temple of all religions came to Khanov in 1994 year. Healer, if you believe the urban legend, then he appeared Jesus Christ, and it was this important sign from above that prompted the architect to start the construction of an outlandish complex. First a healer intended to carry out his venture in Naberezhnye Chelny, however this he did not succeed. Then Ildar and his brother Ilgiz took up the construction of a miracle temple on the earth, where their father’s house was located.
The implementation of such a grandiose project, of course, is very challenging. However, the Khanov brothers were helped as wealthy philanthropists and ordinary villagers: someone gave building materials, someone worked here as a bricklayer for free. What is already in the temple, and what it lacks
Unfortunately, many of the architect’s ideas have not yet been come true.
For example, a Russian wanted to build sixteen domes, which would symbolize the most popular world religions. Now their significantly less. In addition, the complex should have accommodate children’s school, astronomical observatory, center addiction rehabilitation, healing academy, home elderly, orphanage, icon painting school and even opera theater.
However, there are already Catholic and Egyptian halls, theater hall, tea room, hall of Jesus Christ and picture gallery. One of the rooms of the Khanov’s parental house was kept in as a museum. It was in this room that Ildar once lived.
