When in 2003 in the Chilean desert Atacama discovered A 15-centimeter mummy that doesn’t look too human made a lot of noise.
Remains with a long skull and 10 pairs of ribs (rather than 12, as in each of us) were recognized by many as an alien mummy. Atakama humanoid, as journalists called him, became real sensation, but only now scientists were able to analyze it DNA and conclude regarding the nature of the alleged “alien”.

As expected, the people of science concluded that this is no not a representative of extraterrestrial civilization. According to experts, it’s about a 6-8 year old girl with unprecedented genetic deviations. According to Stanford staff University, the child suffered from dwarfism and numerous other deviations in physical development. Experts before suggested that it could be a mutant, but they claimed that it is a miscarriage or a dead baby.

The fact that the mysterious girl lived for several years is a real miracle, to say the least. It turned out even more surprising that baby Ata (such a name was given to the little mummy by the American scientists) did not live in the days of the Indians, as one might think, but only about 40 years ago. The geneticists who conducted the study, were amazed at such results. They identified as many as 64 mutations of several genes, and some of them were previously not known to official science.
Experts say that after studying the remains they will be sent to Chile for burial according to local religious traditions, since it was proved that this is a deceased person, not a guest from another planet.
