But there are also theories based on the ancient superstitions of illiterate people, they are not subject to rational thinking. However, it is worth knowing about all the opinions, so as not to harm the dearest that you have.
Why not take pictures of sleeping children?
There is a theory that during sleep the soul leaves the human body and enters a parallel world. At this time, it is dangerous to photograph a child.
- There is a great risk of causing great harm to his mental health. In support of these thoughts, many pictures of sleeping people were taken, in which a white spot is visible next to a person – this confirms the fact that the soul is separated from the body.
- And there was also a superstition that the sleeper might not wake up. After all, the soul returns to the body only at the moment of natural awakening. And if you wake up a child with a click of a camera or a flash of light, the soul will not have time to return or it may 'spoil'. Even an awakened person will never be the same again. And it is forbidden to photograph unbaptized children not only in a dream, but also while awake. Children are baptized on the fortieth day from the date of birth (at this moment mothers can attend church). But even after such a measure, the old-timers do not recommend bringing photographers to the house from outside in order to avoid stealing the fate of the child.
It must be said that at the moment of photographing there is a special contact between the photographer and the 'model'. The photographer has a very strong influence on the worried baby, he can convey to him some of his qualities. Therefore, it is very important that the camera is held in the hands of a person who does not have significant defects.
In fact, you can photograph a sleeping baby, but you need to be careful. It is better to shoot the crumbs on the camera while awake in order to capture all the important events of life: picking up the first pyramid, timid steps, attempts to eat porridge on their own.
Such photography is absolutely safe for health, soul and guardian angel. But every moment that can be captured in early childhood is priceless. It is possible that looking at the photo of their sleeping child, after years, parents will be able to renew their quivering feelings in their memory.
