Old mirrors – witnesses of various events, accumulators of information, pose a serious threat to the residents of the house. It is imperative to get rid of them. But you can't just carry the object shrouded in mysticism to the trash can. A broken mirror must be disposed of immediately.
There are popular beliefs about how to do this correctly. After studying the rituals that help clean the reflective surface, you can safely throw away the mirror or dispose of it as you see fit.
When to throw out mirrors
Windy fashion never stands still, it thirsts for change. Moreover, the novelty concerns not only clothes, but also the interior. Consequently, sooner or later, the question of replacing an object with a reflective surface may arise.
But is it possible to throw out the mirror, in which cases it is advisable to do it:
- Repairs. The mirror should fit into the new design solution, match the finishing materials and furnishings. If this is not the case, you need to get rid of it, and not try to find a place for it, ruining the new interior.
- Fading of a reflective surface. You should not have things at home that emanate from old age. They attract unpleasant events.
- Crack or scratches. You cannot look into such an object, and it is also not recommended to keep it at home.
- The mirror came from the previous owners of the apartment, especially if they were dysfunctional.
The broken mirror must be disposed of immediately. When picking up the shards, try not to look at them. Do not think bad, so as not to attract trouble. Wear gloves. Collect the shards in an opaque bag and take them away from home.
Reflective objects are used in different ways:
- Looking at them, people get an idea of how they look at the moment. No woman can live in a house without a mirror.
- This piece of furniture is used to increase space.
- People look into the reflective surface to replenish the lost energy when they return home for a short while for a forgotten thing.
- Used by black magicians to perform rituals.
- They tell fortunes on the mirrors.
With all this in mind, it's not hard to see why people are scared to just throw it away when the need arises. Endlessly reflecting everything that happens around, a mysterious object accumulates information. I really do not want her to fall into the 'wrong hands'. Is it possible to throw a mirror in the trash – this question has a positive answer, subject to certain rules.
How to throw out mirrors
If the mirror is broken, there is a special ritual to neutralize the bad omen. Only after its completion is the remains of a magical object urgently disposed of.
But absolutely the whole requires a special approach at the moment of its taking out of the house. On this score, there are several rules dictated by folk wisdom:
- You don't need to break the item on purpose.
- Throwing a whole mirror into the trash can is also not worth it. There, it can accidentally break, and cause harm to housing and communal services workers.
- It is better to leave an unnecessary piece of furniture in a stable position in plain sight so that it can be picked up. But before parting with the mirror, a ritual should be performed over it, erasing from the memory of the object the traces of its former owners and in the midst of habitation.
- Throwing the old mirror out of the house is possible only on the waning moon. At any other time, a discarded mirror will bring failure and disaster.
- It is urgent to get rid of suddenly crashed reflective objects, regardless of the phase of the moon.
- One person should take it to the trash heap. Only a very bulky and heavy one can be carried by two people, having previously wrapped it in a black or blue dense cloth. Only a close person (relative) should help carry.
Throwing away the mirror is not at all necessary; it can be sold or donated to friends. But even in these cases, the object is subjected to energetic cleansing (it can be done in different ways).
Rites that allow mirrors to be thrown away
Since a special piece of furniture contains a lot of information, before you properly discard an old mirror, it must be cleaned in any known way, using salt, running water or candle fire. Grandmothers have long used rituals to remove damage and curses.
Water
Cool water is a great cleaning tool. Thanks to its effect, the original properties of the object are amazingly restored (it becomes, as it were, new). But hot water, on the contrary, demonstrates the opposite properties (it perfectly captures information).
To clean it, place it in the bathroom with a towel on the bottom so that the item does not slip or leave scratches. Keep the mirror under the shower for a few minutes. This procedure will wash away all emotions, the mirror will again become energetically clean, as on the first day of purchase.
A small mirror can be left in cool water for a day and then sold, donated, or thrown away. It will no longer be possible to use it for rituals of black magic.
Cloth and salt
In addition to water, salt also perfectly removes and absorbs energy. For cleansing procedures, you need Thursday salt (specially prepared on Clean Thursday before Easter). To discard an unwanted mirror, wrap it in black or navy blue cloth. Sew up the fabric around the perimeter of the mirror with white nylon thread – you should have a bag.
After the mirror is next to the trash can, do not rush to leave. Sprinkle the subject with salt, stand a little side by side, as if saying goodbye.
Salt must also be sprinkled on the place where the mirror stood – these actions will help remove the energy of your family from the reflective surface.
the fire
The place where the mirror was located can also be cleared of energy residues. During the week, you need to burn church candles, incense, incense there. This procedure will also improve the energy of the whole house, and not just its specific corner.
Holy water
To cleanse the information accumulated by the mirror, holy water helps (it must be fresh). After diluting the holy water with ordinary purified water, pour the mixture into a spray bottle, and treat the cloth in which the mirror is wrapped with the liquid.
You can sprinkle holy water directly on a mirror, after which you need to cross it with a burning church candle, asking for forgiveness for your future act. After that, you can safely throw out the item.
Land
If you want to say goodbye to the mirror forever, and get confidence that no one will use the object, you can bury it in a poorly populated place with a lot of earth. It is not necessary to do this in the courtyard, as stray dogs can unearth the thing.
The burial procedure is done in two stages. Pre-cleaned in the pantry so that the mirror side reflects only the wall (or cover the reflective surface with a silk cloth). The mirror should be in this position for a month.
When 4 weeks have passed, the mirror is buried by wrapping it in an opaque cloth. To do this, under any tree in the forest (except aspen), they dig a hole at least half a meter deep. The person performing this manipulation must be in a good mood. Burying, by the way, is the best way to get rid of an accidentally broken mirror.
For reliability, several rituals are performed at once:
- wash the mirror with running water;
- packed in a dark cloth;
- sprinkle with salt;
- treated with the fire of a church candle.
Some people literally grind the mirror into dust – this is not necessary at all, and requires tools, compliance with safety rules.
When throwing away the ancient mirrors that have been passed down from generation to generation, they say words of gratitude for their good service, and when they are handed over to new owners, they mentally say goodbye to the relic.
