A couple of days ago in the Serbian village of Kakapun, Pchin County a mysterious phenomenon occurred that local residents considered a true religious miracle.
In the residential building of the Monastery of St. Elijah, located in this village, a fire has occurred. Firefighters who arrived at call and put out the fire, found in the attic of the building charred icons. However, this is surprising: the faces of the saints, depicted in these images turned out to be untouched by the flame.
We are talking about the icons of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and the Apostle Petra. Many monks and parishioners of the Orthodox monastery, founded in the 13th century, are convinced that the faces of the saints did not suffer in case of fire according to God’s will. News of the alleged miracle quickly scattered around the neighborhood thanks to the conversations of believers (word of mouth). Christians are coming here for many kilometers from other villages and cities to personally look at unusual images, touch the soul of this church miracle.

However, some representatives of the local flock managed to find what happened is a completely rational explanation. According to skeptics, the faces of the saints were not burned for the simple reason that they are all covered with pure gold, which, of course, does not burn. As if however, the monastery is now more concerned about the restoration lost in a building fire. This will probably require money from the state treasury and generous donations parishioners.
However, it must be assumed that the miracle that happened with the icons will somehow help to restore the building of the Monastery of St. Elijah, perhaps they say Believers, this did not happen by accident: both the fire and the untouched icons, and rumors spread about them. That’s just how it all to interpret? Maybe all this is a sign from above, necessary for strengthening people’s faith in Jesus Christ and in the Almighty as a whole? ..
