Every year, come to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem from around the world hundreds of thousands of people, and each of them is trying to attach to her numerous clicks treasured little note for God. Therefore them here so much accumulates that special employees have to clean the wall annually.
This is done before the holidays – Rosh Hashanah and Passover, and done for one purpose only – to make room for new notes pilgrims to the Wailing Wall.

Removing notes is a painstaking and very difficult job, because letters addressed to God are sometimes deep and very thoroughly stuck in the cracks between the stones. Such work in Jerusalem is attended by representatives of the Kotel Wall Council.
So these days there is an annual (one of two, and specifically – Easter) cleansing the wall. After all these messages with requests, wishes and thanks to the Almighty will be extracted, they will be sent to the Mount of Olives for special burial, so do not think that turning to God is just destroyed.
