Syngonium in the house: signs and superstitions

Syngonium is an evergreen plant originating from the tropical South American forests. Thanks to its beautiful arrow-shaped leaves, it has high decorative qualities. Like many indoor vines, the syngonium is surrounded by many signs, both positive and negative.

syngonium omens and superstitions

Syngonium in the house

The plant has been grown for decorative purposes for a long time. Naturally, people noticed a lot of signs and superstitions associated with the syngonium.

Of the negative aspects, it should be noted:

  1. The plant is 'muzhegonov'.
  2. Paving the way to the cemetery. This creepy omen also applies to all vines. It is believed that long shoots directed downward show the owner the way to the ground. Therefore, it is recommended to hang the stems so that they curl upward.
  3. Poisoning of human life. This is the opinion of the followers of the Feng Shui teachings. Any objects with pointed ends, including arrow-shaped leaves, breathe poison that has a negative effect on human destiny. According to Feng Shui, neutralizing amulets are placed next to the flower pot to protect against harmful plant breath. Perhaps the negative attitude of the followers of the Chinese teachings to the syngonium is due to the toxicity of its juice.

Of the positive signs, it can be noted:

  1. Improving energy. A tropical loach with thick stems and resilient foliage fills the home with the energy of stamina and desire for development. It is believed that the flower is suitable for a decisive, enthusiastic, inquisitive, purposeful person. It is recommended to keep the syngonium in the house for students, teachers, scientists, people whose work is related to the search and processing of information.
  2. Changing the character of the people around for the better. The flower, the leaves of which, unfolding, take their original shape, according to omen, inspires people with a desire for change, makes their character more tolerant, calm and confident, helps get rid of anxiety, phobias, constraint in relationships, unpleasant memories.
  3. Better sleep. A flower placed in a bedroom relieves painful thoughts, the effects of stress, nightmares.
  4. By acceptance, the flower protects marital happiness.

Weather signs

A tropical beauty, accustomed to humid climatic conditions, and in room conditions, is sensitive to changes in air humidity. When humidity rises, small drops of water appear at the edges of the leaves. As a result, a sign arose: the syngonium is a weather forecaster and when water droplets appear, rain should be expected.

It is impossible to say unequivocally whether it is worth keeping a syngonium in the house, since it is associated with both positive and negative omens. Each person must decide for himself, focusing on how pleasant or unpleasant the flower is to him.

If the indoor vine seems attractive, then it can be safely grown. In this case, there will be no harm to the owner. And if the loach is unpleasant in appearance, causes negative emotions, then you should not keep it in your home.
