The fox crossed the road – signs

Since ancient times, the ancestors of the Eastern Slavs, like many of their neighbors in Western Europe, believed in the magical abilities of animals inhabiting the endless forests, mountains, plains and rivers of those places where they built houses and cities. The fox crossed the road If the fox crossed the road from left to right, trouble cannot be avoided.

A particularly strong rejection among many peoples was enjoyed by the fox, which was associated with such negative qualities as duplicity, deceit, deceit, cunning, which became part of folklore and even Russian fables. To this day, many are interested, despite the almost complete lack of chances to see this animal (if only in the zoo or by chance in the forest), which portends a similar meeting.

Meet the fox

Until today, many gamekeepers, hunters and just people living near the forest are convinced that if the fox has already crossed the road, then it cannot be anything other than a sign:

  1. If a fox meets a person, accompanied by his own shadow, in splendid isolation – this is a sign of a smile of fortune, an omen of future victories or at least the absence of defeats.
  2. If on the way met not one, but two foxes or a family of these forest dwellers, one should expect a whole wave of small, but offensive troubles.

Crossed the road

The chances of meeting a fox during a trip increase, so signs about this animal are common among motorists:

  1. If the fox crossed the road from left to right, trouble cannot be avoided. In the near future, we should expect gossip, conflicts over trifles with close friends and a cold wall of indifference from the closest people.
  2. The animal ran from right to left – not good. Adversity will get to the wallet. It is advisable to refrain from conducting financial transactions, the success of which may be shaken by a sudden betrayal of business partners or due to one's own incompetence.

Despite the abundance of black glory that follows the fox, one should remain human and not use these legends to justify one's own aggression towards animals. The existing signs can be interpreted not as inevitable omens, but only as a warning from someone from above who is always watching us.
