In the village of Chimeyevo, Kurgan region, it was almost completely burned wooden church of the Holy Kazan Monastery (see video of the fire below). According to preliminary data, the source of ignition occurred in the monastery building due to a malfunction of one of conditioners, and then the flame spread to a wooden structure church, which all more and got.
But what is surprising, in this temple was an unusual icon Chimeevsky Mother of God, which is considered miraculous and healing. And her fire hardly touched – a real miracle, moreover, other miracles are associated with this icon.
According to legend, she appeared in the Trans-Urals in the first half XVIII century, and not somehow in a natural way, but simply sailed here on the Niyap River. Why was it considered a real shrine, she turned out to be such in reality, demonstrating her miracles in subsequent centuries. For example, at the end of the same century (1770 year) she, as today, was on fire, but not at all suffered. Later, believers flocked to her from all over the world. Russia and even from abroad, because the icon of the God of Chimeyev Mother healed diseases, even the most incurable, sent children to women who could not give birth in any way, returned the missing lead, and so on.

In 1930, the monastery along with the temple in the village of Chimeevo was closed by the Bolsheviks, and the priests were soon shot. Moreover, non-believing villagers still came to the miraculous icon and prayed. But in 1943, when local authorities decided to build a church to convert into a warehouse, the icon of the Mother of God as if stood on their ways – she didn’t “want” to move. And then the chairman of the village council promised to chop it into pieces, but … he immediately felt ill, and a few days later the man died. His comrades, no matter how atheistic atheists they are known, they were afraid touch the icon …
By the way, a completely male monastery and church in the village of Chimeevo were restored only in 2002. Thanks to the icon of Chimeevskaya Church of Our Lady of Sorrows again became, as before, very popular among believers, although the church (see photo) in itself was – a real work of art – Russian wooden architecture.

But the parishioners were more pleased not by the external beauty of the temple, but by his inner fullness with a divine presence. And in this the miraculous icon helped. For example, parishioner Nadezhda Pashtetskaya came to live in the village of Chimeevo twenty years ago, only because of this icon, I bought a house here, settled down with my family, and each Divine day visited church – to pray before a bright face Of the Mother of God …
Many researchers of these Christian miracles have logical question that arose with all acuteness and today in in this village of the Kurgan region: why does God allow such fires (or even specifically creates conditions for them), fires that destroy Christian temples? And how miraculous are saved from fire icons, like this one of the Chimeev Mother of God? And a miracle and insoluble riddle for the rational mind, as they say now, two in one, right? ..
