If one of the pilgrims (tourists, such here too a lot) accidentally step on the rat, as a result of which she will die, then he is obliged to replace it with a rat figure made of silver or gold (in depending on the capabilities of the person).

In the last century, the Karni Mata Temple was completely renovated; the rooms became more spacious, brighter, which contributed rat population growth. Currently, from the innovations you can note only CCTV cameras that make it easier for ministers to monitor both the “owners of the temple” and its guests, so that they do not violate the rules established here.
