Observing this celestial anomaly, eyewitnesses recalled a UFO and meteorite that fell in Chelyabinsk in 2013. This time a glow over Chelyabinsk was almost the same, though with a haze, and the inhabitants smelled bad.
In fact, the observed phenomenon had a simple explanation: with landfill “Kapustin yar” (Astrakhan region) was carried out launch of the Topol RS-12M intercontinental ballistic missile. NATO, probably impressed, had previously given it its designation – Sickle, i.e. sickle.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the combat (training) part of the rocket hit a conditional target with a given accuracy on a test Sary-Shagan training ground (Kazakhstan), where locals also observed the evening sky is a mysterious “unidentified flying object.”
