In the Mongolian newspaper “Morning News”, as, however, in other local media sensational news that Ulan Bator found the mummy of a man who sits in the habitual for Buddhist monk lotus position. It is preliminarily determined that mummies for at least two hundred years.
The imperishable body of a mummified man was found by chance, it is covered with the skin of either a bull, or even some large animal. Newspapers do not report any more details. All that is known is that the police hastily delivered a unique find in National Center for Forensics.
According to one version, the mummy may be a Buddhist monk who not dead, but in a state of samadhi. The same thing is observed for example, with the Buryat hambo-lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov, whose an imperishable body, mummified in 1927, is still located in a state of samadhi – between life and death.
Recall that Dasha-Dorzho Itigelov was the head of the Russian Buddhists until 1927. Before his death, he bequeathed to his students dig out his body in thirty years. Since proposed Buddhist monk exhumation was carried out more than once: in 1955, in 1973 and in 2002. Until now, his body has not undergone any the smallest decay.
There is an assumption that the mummy found today belongs to both times to the teacher of the Hambo Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov. And that means that imperishable body will still surprise modern physicians and scientists, but the most the main thing is to strengthen the faith of Buddhists in the rebirth of souls and holiness monks whom they consider their spiritual leaders and guide in this hectic and brief life.
