According to museum director Timothy Riley, at the moment there are copyright issues on the essay but considering colossal historical importance of the manuscript, the text will surely become soon in the public domain. While scientists can only retell briefly the contents of Churchill’s work, sharpening attention to his most interesting points.
Churchill relied on science in his judgment.
Essays by a British statesman, as noted experts, for the most part, reflect the views of modern exobiology – the science of the origin of evolution and the origin of life on other planets. In his work, the British relied on the so-called the principle of mediocrity, one of the tenets of which states that the Earth and the solar system does not occupy any special place in Universe, and the Universe itself is so huge that in others it corners certainly also have life.
The Prime Minister of Great Britain determined that the presence of water and breeding organisms are key conditions for the emergence of complex life forms on other planets. Churchill described the term known today as the habitable zone – under it implies a conditional space region where the temperature the gravity and properties of water are very close in their properties to earthly. Based on these calculations, the politician concluded that in our the planetary system, life, besides the Earth, could also originate on Venus and Mars.

Speaking about alien life forms, the politician wrote that such stars, like the Sun, in the Universe can be whole quintillions, and there is a high probability that some of them revolve around planets similar to ours. These exoplanets, according to Churchill, should have similar to earth dimensions, atmosphere and water in liquid condition. Given the potential infinity of the universe, Churchill was convinced that there were many celestial bodies, the conditions on which allow the existence and development of life.
Recall that seven years ago the National Archives of the United Kingdom has declassified documents that state that Winston Churchill bans Royal Air Force pilots tell the public about their meetings with unidentified flying objects. The prime minister feared that such statements they will sow panic among his people. In this case, the observation British UFO pilots were indeed quite a few.
